Reiki's origins are centuries old and requires no special knowledge to attain this special life gift. No special beliefs or faith is required in order to practise Reiki. Many people from all walks of life and doctrines are Reiki practitioners.

Reiki is given by the laying on of hands in different hand positions, or slightly over the body. Reiki's healing energy then flows to where it is needed most. Reiki is the healer; the practitioner is simply a channel and does not use their own energy. During a treatment the practitioner will also benefit from the flow of Reiki.

I found Reiki in the back of a paper placed in the classifieds. I was immediately drawn to the advert and not knowing anything about Reiki, set to researching it on the web. The more I read the more excited I became and now Reiki plays a central role in my life and there is no day that goes by that I don't call on Reiki. I love how Reiki enhances my life.
